PPV NOTES:
Many were surprised that the turn out was as great as it was. Many superstars were not expecting to make it past the first few matches of the reunion show before complaints, but just abotu everyone kept their cool and the reunion show was sucha success, everyone showed up for the PPV and was ready to work. Ric Flair was there early to personally greet superstars. The whole night he had crew workers scrambling around trying to get paperwork done and make the show 100% perfect. Most of the night he discussed trade offers with Vince, and went over the trades with Terry Funk who he has grown very close to over the break. Ric Flair's goal was to get Edge's contract before the PPV ended, and after a few modifications to the trade, it became apparent that Ric was not going to get Edge for what he wanted so he gave up.
Matt Hardy stayed in the Royal Rumble so long to try and impress Ric. Recently Ric Flair has been talking to Matt about not renegotiating his contract that is only for about a month to see how CWA was going to turn out. Ric tried another last attempt to save Matt's career by giving him back to Vince, which ended up failing again.
Mick Foley was called up for a crowd pleaser. He is basicaly going to be the hype man for shows who will try to get the crowd wild before shows by most likely fighting in heat matches to jobbers whilst doing something fan friendly.
Rey Mysterio beat Shaw Gaspard in a last second descicion chance by Ric Flair told only minutes before the match had ended. Original plans was for Lashley to kick out of the 619, but when the ref did a quick count and called three, after getting the voice over from Ric, Lashley was about to continue the match, hence the ref pulling him off of Rey.
Don't expect to see Batista the champ for long as he became champion after a miscommunication between the ring enforcers and Ric. The title was only supposed to be out, but not given out. The ref gave it to Batista because he thought he was told to.
MVP is in line for an upcoming push. Ric is probably deciding between him, Kane, and The Big Show, whom he just recently began talking with and liking a lot more.
Burt Angle's broken ribs are worse than thought. HE apparently shattered his right side of his rib cage in multiple places during a small training session before the match. He wrestled through it and only made it worse. The original injury would have sidelined him until June. The now injury may end his career. We wish Burt the best of luck. He is currently in the hospital resting and expected to get surgery later this week.
